Common Queries for the KHS After-School Program
How do I join FAB?
To join FAB you must have a PAR-Q or Physical, bring it with you on one of our meeting days. Show up dressed in fitness attire and on time. Bring water and a can-do attitude!
What types of home fitness equipment do you recommend?
For our group fitness I provide all equipment needed, however if you would like to bring your own yoga mat it is recommended. Our at home workouts usually require no equipment, however loop and regular resistance bands and a yoga mat are suggested.
How much does it cost?
FAB is free. I supply all equipment and snacks. If you would like an individualized nutrition plan I also do that for free but only for up to four people per month. The only time you will eveer be charged is if you want to purchase FAB attire. Donations for snacks and new equipment are accepted.
How are you different from a regular trainer at a gym?
At FAB there is NO cost to join. You are in a small group setting and therefore can get instant feedback on form, examples of movements, ask questions in real time and request personalized plans both for nutrition and fitness at home. FAB offers protein packed snacks right after our workouts. Most programs like this would cost $10-$40/ month for gym or class access. $10-20/ month for online video access, and most trainers and nutrition consultants charge hundreds of dollars per month for individualized plans. You will not find this support for no cost anywhere else.
Is FAB only for people that want to lose weight or people that are 'in shape'?
No. FAB is not a weight-loss focused program. We aim for non-scale victories. If you want to lose weight that is fine, if you want to gain strength and muscle that is fine. If you just want to improve your overall health and have fun then that is wonderful! FAB is for all body shapes sized and fitness levels
Do I need to bring anything with me?
The first time you come please be sure to have a PAR-Q or Physical with you. For all meetings you should always be wearing athletic wear and bring a good amount of water.
